P-hydroxybenzaldehyde, a light yellow or white like crystal, slightly aromatic. It is mainly used as an important intermediate in pharmaceutical industry and perfume industry. At present, industrial production mainly includes phenol, p-cresol, p-nitrotoluene and other raw materials. The characteristics of the process are that the raw materials are easy to obtain and the manufacturing process is simple, but the yield is low and the cost is high.
P-hydroxybenzaldehyde is an important intermediate in pharmaceutical industry and perfume industry. It is also used in the synthesis of pesticide herbicides bromoxynil and hydrochlorohydrin, as well as in the production of bactericide, photographic emulsifier, nickel plating luster agent, liquid crystal, etc.; in the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used to synthesize amoxicillin (amoxicillin), antibacterial synergist trimethoprim (TMP), 3,4,4-hydroxybenzaldehyde, 5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, p-hydroxyglycine, amoxicillin, artificial Gastrodia elata, Rhododendron, esmolol, etc.; in the perfume industry, it is used to synthesize vanillin, ethyl vanillin, jasmonal, butyraldehyde, anisaldehyde and fupenone.
