Instruction:
Applications ：1,3-Propanediol is used as a solvent for thin film preparations, in the production of polymers such as polytrimethylene terephthalate, adhesives, laminates, coatings, moldings, aliphatic polyesters, as an antifreeze and in wood paint. It also acts as a reagent for vinyl epoxide synthon, for epoxide ring-opening, for polymerization reactions and for natural product syntheses. Solubility Miscible with water and alcohol. Notes Incompatible with acid chlorides, acid anhydrides, oxidizing agents, chloroformates and reducing agents.
Emergency treatment: quickly evacuate the personnel from the contaminated area to the safe area, isolate them and strictly restrict their access. Cut off the fire. It is suggested that emergency treatment personnel should wear self-contained positive pressure respirator and general work clothes. Cut off the leakage source as much as possible. Prevent from flowing into restricted spaces such as sewers and drainage ditches. Small leakage: absorb with sand, vermiculite or other inert materials. It can also be washed with a large amount of water and diluted into the waste water system. Large amount of leakage: build dike or dig pit to take in. Transfer to tank car or special collector by pump, recycle or transport to waste treatment site for disposal.
Operation precautions: closed operation, full ventilation. Operators must be specially trained and strictly abide by the operating procedures. Keep away from fire and heat source. No smoking in the workplace. Use explosion-proof ventilation system and equipment. Prevent vapor leakage into the workplace air. Avoid contact with oxidant and reductant. It should be loaded and unloaded lightly to prevent package damage. Fire fighting equipment of corresponding variety and quantity and leakage emergency treatment equipment shall be provided. Empty containers may contain harmful substances.
Storage precautions: store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. It should be stored separately from oxidant and reductant, and mixed storage should be avoided. Fire fighting equipment of corresponding variety and quantity shall be provided. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable storage materials.
